A Pessimist's Creed
Where are we going? Do we really ever know, and do we ever even care? The indifference to life permeates from us, muting and numbing our senses and thoughts until we doubts there ever was another way.
So we toil, and we struggle, and we complain about the insignicant details in our lives until we awake one day to discover it was all a hoax. The lives we wanted to lead and desired to live never were, and the existence we had was withered away while we wished we were someone else.
The broken and unreachable dreams are clutched while opportunity is bypassed, and the solace we with which seek comfort is but empty promise and regret.
